My story
Hello! I am Aurore, a French pastry chef in Reykjavik.
My passion lies in pastry, I have studied at the world-renowned Institute Paul Bocuse in France and have worked in the industry since 2006 at some of the very finest establishments.
I have now opened the first French fine pastry shop in Iceland in 2022!
So if you’re living in Iceland, come have a taste of my pastries!
Our pastries
Sweet Aurora’s goal is to share its native country’s culinary culture with Icelanders through introducing us to the most typical French pastry delicacies such as the lemon meringue tart, Saint Honoré or macarons, as well as French traditional holiday cakes like the Galette for King’s day.
As her recipes change depending on the seasons and the local products available, she also likes to add her own little touch, like a smoked chocolate ganache in her « volcano macarons » in tribute of the ongoing eruption at Fagradalsfjall.
THE SHOP
We have finally opened the French pâtisserie on the 13th July 2022, it is located on the corner of Bergstaðastræti 14, downtown Reykjavik.
The shop offers take away pastries and a cosy coffee shop.
Find information about location and opening hours in the contact page and google maps!
We offer pastries you can find on the current website menu here, but also check our social media for the weekend specials and events!
See you soon in our Pâtisserie!
